Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:01 AM Friday December 15, 2017 of a vehicle burglary in the block of 400 South Belmont Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders entered the victim’s unlocked 2016 gray Ford Taurus.
A black Garmin GPS valued at $100 and the garage door opener were reported taken.
The garage door opener was used to gain entry to the unlocked Chrysler Town & Country inside the garage.
Apparently nothing was taken from the second vehicle inside the garage at initial inspection of the vehicle.
A separate owner also reported a vehicle burglarized on Pine Avenue in a similar time period. Pine Avenue is just west of Belmont Avenue.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 9:00 PM and Friday, December 15, 2017 at 6:00 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 9:00 (hours: minutes).
