Forest Grove Athletic Club in Palatine, Illinois has a name change.
Midtown Athletic Club, the original flagship name of Tennis Corporation of America (TCA), is the new identity for several Chicago area clubs, including The
Bannockburn Club, Fitness at Port Clinton in Highland Park, Oak Park
Athletic Club and Willowbrook Athletic Club.
With the name changes, clubs are also undergoing renovations — some as
high as $30 million — which include locker room renovation, new
exercise classes and an expanded food and beverage area transforming to
a European and Latin fusion restaurant known as ‘M Cafe.’
Forest Grove Athletic Club is undergoing a $5 million renovation that
includes a family locker room, a resort-style pool and a Pilates
studio,
Tennis Corporation of America was founded in 1969 when Midtown Athletic Club was
built. The company entered the upscale fitness market in the 1980’s.
