Waukegan police responded about 5:45 PM Monday December 11, 2017 to a report of a hit-and-run and homicide at Walmart, 3900 Fountain Square Place Waukegan, IL. Police are investigating a homicide at Walmart. No victim information was initially available, but initial investigation has determined the victim was apparently shot in the head following a crash.
The victim had a head injury and CPR was underway before firefighter/paramedics arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were immediately searching for three vehicles and seven suspects involved in a homicide at Walmart …
Vehicle 1 is described as a black newer model Ford Explorer with front-end damage from a hit-and-run, occupied by one male/black suspect.
Vehicle 2 is described as a white older model hatchback, occupied by three male/black suspects.
Vehicle 3 is described as a white older model hatchback, occupied by three male/black supsects.
One offender had an unknown handgun.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 5:45 p.m.
Police stated that they believe the incident was isolated, and that the victim was targeted by the offender or offenders.
