Schaumburg police responded about 7:12 PM Wednesday November 29, 2017 to an “smash and grab” armed robbery at Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, 1700 Woodfield Road Schaumburg, IL. Police received a report that man with accomplices committed a robbery at the jewelry store.
The suspect was described as a male/black wearing a dark blue hooded sweater or sweatshirt. The driver of a getaway vehicle was described as a male/white with a beard.
There were three or four other passengers also in the vehicle.
The offenders took diamonds in a smash and grab type robbery.
Offenders fled in a black Jeep Cherokee.
Paramedics were called to the scene to evaluate an employee victim that witnessed the robbery.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 7:06 p.m.
Another robbery occurred at 6:45 p.m. with some descriptions of the offender similar. The first robbery was at or near the Subway restaurant at 1400 North Roselle Road.
