Cook County chief judge Tim Evans announced former President Barack Obama’s jury duty selection to county commissioners during a budget hearing on Friday, October 27, 2017.
Jurors in the county are paid $17.20 per day of service. Obama could be called to sit in on either criminal cases or civil hearings.
UPDATE: Fans and new camera crews were waiting as former president Barack Obama arrived at the Daley Center, but after two hours he was not chosen as a juror and was dismissed for the day.
