McHenry police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:41 PM Wednesday October 11, 2017 to a report of a house fire Wednesday day, night followed by a rekindle early Thursday morning, 6709 Waterford Drive McHenry, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a house fire Wednesday night followed by a rekindle early Thursday morning.
Engine 1244 crew on arrival reported a fire in a 2-story lightweight-constructed home.
A second engine was assigned to drop a supply line.
The fire Wednesday night was struck by 11:47 PM.
REKINDLE
A re-kindle was reported at 6:00 a.m. Thursday. A neighbor reported that the rear of the house was fully engulfed with flames.
Firefighters on arrival reported the back rear bedroom was on fire. Command reported they have a working fire.
One hose line on the fire from the backyard, and a second hose line was led out through the front door.
A tower ladder was put to work at the front of the house by 6:15 AM.
A fire investigator was requested to the scene.
Fire command reported the fire was under control by 6:25 AM.
Loss stopped was reported at 6:48 a.m.
