CNBC is reporting that they have seen an Amazon email communication that reveals that Amazon will make a decision by Thanksgiving about making the move to sell prescription drugs online.
CNBC refers to a Goldman Sachs published report August 2017, speculating that Amazon will ultimately look to improve price transparency for consumers and reduce out-of-pocket costs.
“Alexa, order Vicodin.”
4 days later …
“Alexa, order MiraLax.”
Amazon already sells medical products online, including medical exam and surgical gloves, gauze and wound dressing products, fluid collection products, topical antimicrobials, surgical tools and instruments, wound closure products, back braces, cervical collars, and more.
