Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District will be hosting an antique fire truck show and open house on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the BCFPD Headquarters (Station 1) 22222 North Pepper Road Lake Barrington.
The free show will feature the contrast between vintage firefighting equipment from prior generations and today’s state-of-the-art operations. The antique trucks will be available on display until 1:00 p.m.
Visitors will get to mingle with the Barrington Countryside firefighter/paramedics and learn about firefighting and Emergency Medical Service (EMS).
Representatives from Northwest Central Dispatch will also bring their exhibit to explain their 9-1-1 dispatch system. Barrington Countryside recently joined the Northwest Central Dispatch System and shares a talk group with Inverness, Palatine, and Rolling Meadows.

Established in 1940, the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District provides fire and emergency medical service to residents in portions of Barrington Hills, South Barrington, Lake Barrington and Inverness; and portions of unincorporated Cook, Lake and McHenry Counties.
