Witnesses reported a male offender attacked another male as the male victim arrived in a silver sedan. The offender crashed head-on into the victim’s silver sedan with a blue sedan. The offender then chased the victim on foot through the parking lot with the chainsaw running, and injured the victim with the chainsaw. MORE …
Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person was chasing another person with a chain saw at the scene of the crash.
Engine 3’s crew on arrival requests Battalion Chief to the scene.
UPDATE: The incident is a confirmed chainsaw attack. The offender is in custody and the victim has been transported to a local hospital by Arlington Heights Fire Department firefighter/paramedics.
