Mount Prospect police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:53 PM Thursday to a report of crash with injuries near the Mount Prospect Metra train station, 11 East Northwest Highway Mount Prospect, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a man jumped in front of the train. The victim was discovered near Maple Street and Prospect Avenue on the south side of the tracks.
The man was hit by a westbound train (#627) that was scheduled to arrive in Harvard at 6:05 p.m.
