Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:05 AM Monday to a report of an Amtrak train derailment at 1100 South Lumber St Chicago, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that three Amtrak cars derailed at 1400 South Lumber Street.
Special Operations 2-1-9 reported that the train is about two blocks north of Roosevelt Rd at 1100 South Lumber St. Firefighters confirmed that three train cars were derailed.
Amtrak is reporting no injuries at 11:15 a.m. but then a fire crew requested an ambulance for a male/adult.
Initially it appears that there are no injuries at the train derailment scene.
The Still and Box was struck out and the EMS Plan 1 was secured by 11:27 a.m.
