WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect from March 13, 01:00 AM CDT until March 14, 01:00 AM CDT.
* TIMING…Snow will overspread northeastern Illinois and
northwest Indiana around or slightly after midnight tonight. Snow
will continue at times through Monday evening, then expect lake
effect snow to begin developing Monday evening and continue
overnight into Tuesday. Lake effect snow may continue at times
through Tuesday.
* ACCUMULATIONS…3 to 6 inches through late Monday evening with
additional accumulations due to lake effect Monday night and
Tuesday, possibly into Wednesday in northwest Indiana.
* OTHER IMPACTS…Visibilities will be reduced during heavier
snowfall. Plan on difficult driving conditions.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities…and use caution while
driving.

TODAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 35. Light and variable wind becoming east southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT: Snow, mainly after 10pm. Low around 26. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
MONDAY: Snow. High near 33. East southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. 7-10 inches os snow possible in Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Long Grove, Mount Propsect, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Schaumuburg, Wheeling

Greatest snow accumulation (6-7 inches) is expected in Arlington Heights, Cary, Mount Prospect, Elk Grove, Grayslake, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Long Grove, McHenry, Mundelein, Rockford, Schaumburg, Woodstock.
5-6″ inches of snow is expected in most of Kane County, DuPage County Will County and southern Cook County and areas south to Kankakee.
3-4 inches are forecast south of Kankakee.
The greatest rate of snowfall is expected between 7:00 a.m. and noon Monday.
