iYawn 7. Updated models of the smartphone are expected to include a dual-lens camera and OLED screens, but not in this year’s iPhone 7.
OLED screens use less power, are bendable and are curved, but don’t expect them with the Apple iPhone 7. OLED probably won’t arrive until 2017, and Samsung phones already have OLED.
Apple’s upcoming 2016 iPhone 7 is expected to ditch the old-fashioned headphone jack. That means you can’t use that extra headphone you have in a drawer if you forget you headphones at a friend’s house. It also means you might not be able to use your headphones while your iPhone is charging. And you wont be able to let you friend with earwax on their headphones use their own headphones to listen to something on your iPhone. Maybe they will include an adapter, but don’t hold your breath. The adapter will more likely be a $49.99 product from Apple that you will need to enjoy the luxury of listening to your iPhone while it is charging.
It’s a rough week for Apple fans. Samsung released the best phone of the year, while Apple updated its emojis and it’s “best” hardware innovation is removing the universal headphone jack, Apple’s hubris is hurting its chances to lock down a streaming TV service, and new Apple Watch rumors.
