An Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft which took off from Trivandrum International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala — a city and state in India has crash-landed in Dubai and caught fire. All passengers and crew are reported safe.
The aircraft departed Trivandrum International Airport at about 4:43 UTC and landed at Dubai International Airport at about 08:37 UTC.
Emirates can confirm that today, 3rd August 2016, flight EK521 travelling from Trivandrum International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram, India to Dubai has been involved in an operational incident upon landing at Dubai International Airport. There were 282 passengers and 18 crew on board.
