Facebook is reported down at Thursday afternoon at about 4:05 p.m. CDT. Initially the Facebook message reported that a fix underway. Next, a blank page merely said “Service Unavailable” then a more dedicated trouble page state, “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.” A graphic included a thumbs up “LIKE” with a bandage on the thumb.
At the time of the outage at 4:20 p.m., “facebook for developers” is reporting “Facebook Platform is Healthy” with the most recent downtime reported on March 14, 2016 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:36 p.m.
Recent Facebook outages have occurred on September 24, 2015 and January 27, 2015.
