Spectre is HP’s answer to Apple’s 12-inch MacBook Air, except with a bigger screen, and extra horsepower. The MacBook still has better resolution — 4K versus 1080p.
HP Spectre 13 10.4mm thick — supposedly the thinnest laptop made. Apple’s MacBook Air is 13.2 mm.
The Spectre 13 has a 13.3-inch 1080p display, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage in its base model, running on a Core i5 or a Core i7 processor.
HP will begin taking preorders for the Spectre 13 ($1,169.99) on April 25, 2016. Shipping is scheduled for May 2016.
On May 22nd, a Spectre is expected to be available at Best Buy for $1,249.99.
