Palatine police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 59-year-old Palatine man who left his home early Thursday reportedly distressed about personal matters. According to Palatine police, Jeffrey MacDonald left his residence between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Thursday in a 2004 Red Mazda6 station wagon with the license plate “COX 997.” According to police, MacDonald’s family said they fear for his safety and well-being.

Palatine Police Department Cmdr. Craig Lesselyoung said bank records indicate MacDonald stopped at a TCF Bank in Shorewood, Illinois near Joliet, at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Palatine police urge anyone with information regarding MacDonald’s location is asked to call 9-1-1 or call the Palatine Police Department at 847-359-9000.
