Heavily-armed French police are conducting raids where the Paris attacks mastermind is believed holed up in the suburb of Saint-Denis. A Woman with a suicide bomb vest blew herself up. One man was also killed, and five arrested.
Five terror suspects were arrested and two terror suspects were killed pre-dawn Wednesday morning. A female terrorist wearing a suicide vest blew herself up after police launched a raid targeting the alleged mastermind of last Friday’s massacre in Paris.
Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a 27-year-old Belgian ISIS militant, was believed to be inside the apartment with five other heavily armed people. Police stormed the apartment building and were met with unexpected violent resistance. At least four police officers were injured during the raid.
Witnesses in the neighborhood reported that the first explosions were heard about 4:00 a.m. Local Time Paris. The explosions were followed by non-stop exchange of gunfire that lasted about one hour. At least seven explosions were reported by witnesses in the center of Saint-Denis.
On Tuesday ABC7’s (KABC) David Ono reported that he traveled to a Muslim community commonly known among the locals as a “No-Go” zone. The report described the ABC7 crew going into a “No-Go” which was “100 percent Muslim.”
Last January following the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack that killed 12 employees, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said she planned to sue Fox News for its report that so-called “no-go zones” for non-Muslims and local authorities exist in the French capital and other European cities.
In response to criticism over the “no-go zone” reports, Fox News about one week later apologized for its incorrect reporting.
“Over the course of this last week we have made some regrettable errors on air regarding the Muslim population in Europe, particularly with regard to England and France,” Fox News anchor Julie Banderas said.
“To be clear, there is no formal designation of these zones in either country, and no credible information to support the assertion that there are specific areas in these countries that exclude individuals based solely on their religion,” Banderas added.
Internet legend and urban legends website Snopes.com in an article entitled “Caliph-ain’t” declared that a CLAIM that “A number of localities in the United States, France, and Britain are considered Muslim ‘no-go zones’ (operating under Sharia Law) where local laws are not applicable” was false.

About 20% or more of Saint-Denis consists of Maghrebian citizens, people from Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia where the predominant religion (near 100%) is recorded to be Islam. In 2005, when violent youth protest spread in poor neighborhoods, Seiene-Saint-Denis reported the most torched vehicles.
Newsweek: During New Year’s celebration for 2015, there were 940 cars set on fire across France by “‘frenzied revellers as they welcomed the arrival of the New Year,’ according to France’s Interior Ministry.”
Newsweek continued: The wave of arson – part of a bizarre and dangerous tradition frequently reported in “mass celebrations” as well as protests in the country – was actually a 12% improvement on last year’s New Year’s festivities when 1,067 cars were set ablaze. The car burning was most frequent in eastern France, as well as in the suburbs of Paris, particularly in the banlieues (ghettos) of Seine-Saint-Denis, which were the epicentre of riots protesting police brutality in 2005 resulting in the torching of more than 10,000 cars.
Whether you believe that Muslims are rioting (à la the right-wing blogosphere) or that French police refuse to protect France’s poor Muslim districts (à la Press TV), it’s clear France has a problem with Islam.

Conflicts over French citizenship and a requirement to adhere to French civil law and a requirement to abandon the right to be governed under Sharia law are recorded as far back as the late 1800s during the conquest of Algeria and the colonization of Algeria.
Algerians and North Africans were reported to have settled in Paris since the 1920s with a history of conflict between Algerians and Moroccans. In 1962 following the Algerian War from 1954 to 1962, almost 1 million refugees attempted migration to France. Violent protests and terror acts occurred during the transition to the independence of Algeria.
