2 Dead in Bolingbrook: Shooting at Warehouse Near Veterans Pkwy and Remington Blvd, Bolingbrook High School Lockdown

Bolingbrook police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:50 AM Monday to a report of a shooting at a warehouse near Veterans Parkway and Remington Boulevard Bolingbrook, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a shooting at a business near Veterans Parkway and Remington Boulevard in southwest Bolingbrook.

Two people are reported shot and killed. At least ten marked police vehicles are on the scene, and a Bearcat armored police vehicle is also on the scene.

A manhunt for a male suspect in his 50s was underway shortly before 10:00 a.m. As of 10:30 a.m. the status of the suspect was unknown outside of police personnel at the scene, but at about 10:45 a.m. one of the dead is apparently the gunman.

Bolingbrook High School was under lockdown about two miles northeast of the crime scene. Jane Addams Middle School in Bolingbrook was also under lockdown about one mile north of the crime scene. Both schools were under lockdown as a precaution for a suspect search.

As of 10:55 a.m. Monday, Bolingbrook Police had no official alert or statement on the police department’s official Twitter account or the Bolingbrook Facebook page.
