Houston firefighters are on the scene of a huge scaffolding collapse at a construction site across from Minute Maid Park in downtown. The Houston Fire Department believes at least four people were trapped in the collapse.
Houston police and firefighter/paramedics responded Friday morning to a scaffolding collapse accident at Crawford and Commerce, near Minute Maid Park.
HFD Captain Ruy Lozano confirms that possibly three or four people are trapped.
Rescuers do not yet know if the trapped people are workers or pedestrians, or if there are more pedestrians than initially believed to be near the scaffolding collapse.
The scaffolding was set up at an apartment complex construction site.
