Chicago police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:03 PM Monday to a report of several pedestrians hit by a vehicle at 47th Street and Martin Luther King Drive Chicago, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find multiple people down after they were hit by a vehicle at or near a bus shelter.
At least 5 people received serious injuries. Two people apparently had lesser injuries.
Patients were transported Mount Sinai Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Stroger Cook County Hospital, and The University of Chicago Medical Center.
An EMS Plan 1 was immediately requested, and seven ambulances initially responded to the scene. One ambulance was returned.
