Illinois State Police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:59 PM Monday to a report of a crash with injuries at 42.055821, -88.017839 (I-90 and Route 53 Arlington Heights, IL). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a three-vehicle crash on westbound I-90 just east of Route 53 in the express lanes.
Engine 3’s crew reported they are in traffic gridlock at 2:04 p.m.
Westbound I-90 was backed up to the overpass at Golf Road by about 2:05 p.m.
Engine 3’s crew shut down the two right lanes of I-90 at about 2:08 p.m.
