Schaumburg police have released detailed information about a suspicious incident or possible child luring attempt that was reported to have occurred on Thursday May 21, 2015.
Schaumburg police report that at approximately 8:30 AM on Thursday a student walking to school reported that a male driver stopped his vehicle near Sagamore Drive and Barcliffe Roads. The grammar school-aged child was walking alone. The male allegedly asked twice if the child wanted a ride, but the child said no and ran from the area. The male then drove away eastbound on Sagamore Drive and was last seen southbound on Salem Drive.
The male was described as possibly of Indian decent, 25-35 years old, short black hair, dark skin, wearing a gray sweatshirt. The vehicle was described as a black 4-door Honda Civic or Honda Accord.
The Schaumburg Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding this incident contact the Investigations Division at 847-882-3534.
