Des Plaines firefighter/paramedics and police responded about 10:00 pm. Thursday to a report of a pedestrian hit by a car at Touhy Avenue and Wolf Road, just north of O’Hare Airport in Des Plaines.
Police were first on the scene by 10:04 p.m. and reported the female victim was in cardiac arrest. The Des Plaines Fire Department Battalion Chief immediately requested a second ambulance to the scene, apparently for extra Advanced Life Support measures.
The woman, age 68, was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
As of Wednesday night, there were no arrests or charges. The area is a busy commercial intersection.
