Morton Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:59 PM Monday to a hit-and-run crash with personal injury at Harlem Avenue and Shermer Morton Grove, IL. Police received a report of a person hit by a car at Harlem Avenue and Shermer Road. No vehicle description is available at this time.
An 86-year-old man was transported to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time after arrival.
The only vehicle information available is that there may be front end damage with blood on the front end area of the vehicle.
The hit-and-run incident is believed to have occurred about 6:59 p.m.
