Bloomingdale police responded about 9:35 p.m. Monday to the block of 200 Tamarack Lane in Bloomingdale and found Nate J. Fox shot outside a townhouse. Fox was transported to Adventist Glen Oaks Medical Center in Glendale Heights, where he later was pronounced dead.
According to police, Fox had been driving a maroon 2013 Jaguar XJ, with Illinois license plate R 55 4813 from his workplace at an auto dealership before he was shot.

Nathaniel Fox graduated from Plainfield High School. He received a basketball scholarship to Boston College, but later transferred to the University of Maine. Nate J. Fox played as a professional basketball player in Europe from 2000 to 2012.
A wake for Nate Fox is scheduled 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Road in Joliet. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Carlson Holmquist Sayles Funeral Home.
Bloomingdale police and the DuPage County Major Crimes Task Force are investigating, and are asking for the public’s help with any information about the Monday night homicide. Police did not clarify whether they responded to a report of “shots fired” or a “gunshot victim found.”
Bloomingdale police are urging anyone with information on the slaying to call 630-529-9868.
