Prospect Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:35 PM Friday to a report of a townhouse fire at 1427 Cove Dr Prospect Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a fire was on the second floor. A Prospect Heights Battalion Chief on arrival report smoke showing from the second floor.
Fire attack was underway by 2:46 p.m. and all occupants were reported evacuated from the 4-unit townhouse.
Fire command upgraded the response to a box alarm at about 2:53 p.m. which brought extra firefighters to the scene from neighboring communities.
Prospect Heights firefighters were assisted by firefighters from Arlington Heights, Deerfield, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Township, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, Long Grove, Mount Prospect, Niles, North Maine, Northbrook, Northfield, Palatine
Firefighter/paramedics from Glencoe and Rolling Meadows protected the rest of Prospect Heights during the townhouse fire.
