The iPhone 6, announced on September 9, 2014, succeeds the iPhone 5S. The Apple iPhone 6 (4.7 inch) and iPhone 6 (5 inch) plus brings increases in physical screen size for the iPhone line since the 4-inch screen of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s was stretched from the original 3-inch diagonal screen size.

Apple announced today that both devices will ship on September 19 in the US, France, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom, Australia, and Japan. Preorders start September 12.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE)
Apple’s is introducing Wi-Fi calling which will automatically hand off your call from the cell tower when your Wi-Fi is working better than your cell reception. Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will also feature VoLTE (Voice over LTE). Like LTE Advanced this is not available on many networks, but Apple reports it is working specifically with T-Mobile in the US and EE in the UK to bring it to use.
Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will also offer 802.11ac WiFi just like the iPhone 5S.
Mobile Payments
Apple introduced Apple Pay, which involves holding up your phone to a scanner and pressing down on a touch ID. A new chip known as Secure Element encrypts data and holds your credit cards in a Passbook. A customer can use Find My iPhone to suspend all payments from the iPhone. Apple Pay will work with Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
