North Chicago police and Lake County Sheriff deputies and other law enforcement agencies responded about 10:30 a.m. Thursday to a hostage/barricade situation near the intersection of Lewis Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr Drive.
Lake County News-Sun is reporting that police are searching for a shooting suspect that shot three men near 22nd Street and Hervey Avenue in North Chicago.

Two victims were transported to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan, and one victim was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
The incident possibly changed to a “shots fired” situation at about 12:40 p.m.
Police helicopters and news helicopters are in the area. News helicopters have been asked by police to back off and/or increase altitude due to interference with audio ground operations.
