Chicago firefighters and Illinois State police and IDOT HELP trucks responded about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday to a crash involving two semi-trailer trucks and a passenger bus for special needs adults. None of the special needs adults were reported injured but an EMS Plan I and then an EMS Plan II was requested at the scene, which brought a total of about 12 ambulances from Chicago Fire Department. Many of the paramedics were checking on the well-being of the passengers. Much of the paramedic work was completed by about 4:42 p.m. when the EMS Plan II was secured.
A truck driver from one of the semi-trailer trucks was pinned in the cab. Extrication rescue was underway for at least 30 minutes.
Cfd had transported 37. Nothing serious.

Outbound traffic on the Dan Ryan was backed up from 96th street to about 31 Street.
The crash apparently occurred when a semi-trailer truck hauling a roll-on, roll-off dumpster lost its load, consisting mostly of newspapers. The newspapers and trash were scattered across the Dan Ryan Expressway between 95th Street and 96th Street.
