UPDATE: Death investigation indicates and apparent suicide.
Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:31 PM Saturday to a report of a body found in open land near Checker Dr and Old Checker Rd Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a person was found with blood on the ground. The body was reported discovered lying across a path near a waterway, apparently just south of Checker Road between Arlington Heights Road and Old Checker Road.
Firefighters and police on the scene confirmed that a victim was deceased with head trauma.
Early report is that no weapon was found near the victim, but this is an early report and has not been confirmed.
