Engine 9, Engine 8, Tower 7, HazMat 8, the Battalion Chief and several other units are on the scene.
Devon Avenue has been blocked in both directions.
There are some buildings with the odor of gas inside buildings, and at least one evacuation was underway.
NICOR was requested to expedite to the scene. The gas can be heard rushing out of the leak.
Com Ed has also been requested to respond to the scene.
Wind is southwest at 16 MPH with gusts to 26 MPH. The wind is forecast to be steady at 20 MPH with gusts to 30 mph while switching from the west.
