Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:41 PM Tuesday of a wallet theft at Trader Joe’s, 17 West Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders took a removed a silver bi-fold wallet valued at $25 from the victim’s purse while it was in a shopping cart. The wallet contained numerous credit/debit cards and approximately $300 in cash. Fraudulent charges were completed at a Target and a Walgreen’s in Arlington Heights.
Two offenders made purchases with credit cards or gift cards. One offender was seen purchasing electronics valued at over $600. A at the Target store, and second subject was seen using a gift card at the Walgreen’s store in Arlington Heights. Several other charges were attempted at the same locations but those were declined.
The Target store suspect is described as a male/white subject, 30-years-old, 5’6″ thin build, wearing a white golf cap, checkered flannel shirt and blue jeans.
The Walgreen’s store subject is described as male/white, 23 to 30yrs, 5’7″ thin build, no hat, and wearing casual clothes.
The theft is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 between 4:00 p.m. and 4:40 p.m.
