Wood Dale firefighters, Elk Grove Township and Mount Prospect firefighters assisted Elk Grove Village firefighters.
MABAS Division I MVU-1, a mutual aid mobile ventilation unit also responded to the fire scene.
MVU-1 is often used when a location has a high inventory of materials inside a structure that are difficult to extinguish. It is also used to clear smoke when firefighters have difficulty ventilating a building or when they want to ventilate a building quickly.
