TMZ has obtained the 911 call placed by Usher’s aunt moments after the singer’s 5-year-old son, Usher Raymond V, nearly drowned in a pool … in which she begs the operator to send help ASAP.
A family member of R&B music star “Usher” calls 911 in a panic when her nephew, Usher’s son, Usher Raymond V, was found at the bottom of Usher’s home built-in swimming pool. The caller says that people are doing CPR, and the operator calmly assures her to stay on the line.
Notice the 911 operator doesn’t talk over the caller, while she calmly reassures her.
Apparently the boy was stuck on the bottom of the pool by the force of the pool’s drain.
“Mr. Eugene Stachurski and Mr. Benjamin Crews ran to the pool with the attempts to pull the victim from the pool drain at which time Mr. Stachurski administered CPR to the victim. Mr. Eugene Stachurski was successful in reviving the victim.”
— Police Report
Two audio-video technicians, who were at the home working on sound equipment, responded to the calls for help, rescued the boy, and started CPR.
Many public and commercial pools in Illinois were closed last year by law, if they didn’t have drain upgrades that prevented this type of entrapment.
