Palatine Fire Department on the scene of a downed power line on Wilke Road between Baronet Lane and Lancelot Lane.

Palatine firefighter/paramedics responded about 6:47 PM Thursday to a power line down near Wilke Road and Lancelot Lane Palatine, IL. Either high winds or a lightning strike brought down a power line near Lancelot Lane and Wilke Road in Palatine.

A wide area power outage is reported affecting the neighborhood as far as Thomas Street and Kennicott Avenue.

  1. Power was out for about 2 hours Thursday evening, and we had some seepage and wet carpet by the outside door in our family room. Doesn’t seem like much compared to those who have flooded basements and houses, and whose power is out for days. Thanks for doing a good job in getting the power on in a timely manner!
