Jonathan Simkins, insect expert in Florida, faces the largest yellow jacket nest he has ever seen, measuring over six and a half feet tall and nearly eight feet wide (WFLA Jeff Patterson reports).
Jonathan Simkins of ALL Florida Bee Removal (Insect IQ) responded to a property owner’s call for help in Central Florida to get rid of a huge nest of Southern Yellow Jackets — a nest 6.5 feet tall and 8 feet wide. Simkins estimated the nest had thousands of queens and millions of workers.
Simkins said if someone accidentally came too close to the nest, the interaction would be deadly.
According to the website for ALL FLorida Bee Removal, team members are recognized experts in stinging insect control in Florida. The ALL FLorida Bee Removal team consists of University of Florida graduate entomologists, state certified pest control operators & registered beekeepers.
