Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:07 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024 to a report of a house fire in the block of 1300 South Princeton Avenue in Arlington Heights.
Initially no injuries were reported.
Arlington Heights police officers first on the scene reported significant smoke from the roof of the garage.
Rolling Meadows Fire Department Truck 15 was the first fire crew on the scene, and reported smoke showing from the garage of a 2-story single family home. The fire department response was upgraded to a Working Fire.
Truck 15’s crew reported the fire was knocked by 3:20 p.m.
Additional crews worked on search and ventilation. Arlington Heights Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from Rolling Meadows, Mount Prospect, Schaumburg and Elk Grove Village. Schaumburg‘s truck crew was the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Des Plaines firefighters and Prospect Heights firefighters were assigned to stand by in Arlington Heights fire stations.
