Illinois State police troopers, and firefighters and paramedics from Schaumburg responded about 1:44 PM Friday to a report of a truck crash and rollover at Interstate 90 EAST at the 66.7 mile marker which is west of Meacham Road near Schaumburg.
Schaumburg firefighters and paramedics on arrival discovered one semi-trailer truck on its side and a semi dump truck with heavy front-end damage and a person lying on the ground. One person was transported with life-threatening injuries to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
A second person was transported with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening.
Hillside towing was immediately working on recovery of the vehicles, and Illinois State Police personnel are investigating the crash.
