Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 to a report of a hit-and-crash incident involving a battered victim that reportedly occurred at Arlington Heights Road and Golf Road in Arlington Heights.
Police received a report that a battery victim involved in a road rage incident was suffering an injury and waiting for paramedics with police at the BP gas station at the northwest corner of Arlington Heights Road and Algonquin Road.
Apparently, a victim was battered at Arlington Heights Road and Golf Road after a crash at the intersection. The battering offender then left the scene of the crash. The victim followed the offender’s vehicle for a short time but then pulled into the BP gas station to wait for police to arrive.
The battery was transported by Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics to Northwest Community Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Initially, a vehicle description of the hit-and-run driver and the offender’s vehicle was not disclosed to the public.
