Shots fired investigation on Route 53 from Kirchoff Road to Euclid Avenue Rolling Meadows YouTube Tips ⓘ
Illinois State Police responded about 11:43 a.m. Monday, September 4, 2023 to a report that an offender in a black SUV fired shots at a red vehicle on northbound Route 53 near Euclid Avenue near Rolling Meadows. The shots fired incident occurred about 11:39 a.m.
An Illinois State Police trooper met with the victim in the area and inspected the victim’s vehicle. At least one bullet hole was found in the driver’s side front headlight area of the red vehicle.
Illinois State Police troopers shut down northbound Route 53 between Kirchoff Road and Euclid Avenue. All northbound traffic was diverted down the Kirchoff Road ramp. Several Illinois State Police troopers walked northbound Route 53 from Kirchoff Road to Euclid Avenue to search for evidence. The expressway was inspected for bullets and casings from about 12:00 p.m. until 12:50 p.m.
The driver of the black SUV is wanted for investigation of Unlawful Use of a Weapon in today’s shots fired incident.
Initially there was no information available regarding whether any evidence was discovered.
