Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 9:21 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2023 to a report of a three-vehicle crash with injuries at Dryden Avenue and Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
Squad 2’s crew on arrival reported three vehicles involved with moderate damage.
At least one person was transported by Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics to Northwest Community Hospital.
Weather conditions were possibly a factor involved with the crash as the area was under a Dense Fog Advisory. The NWS office at O’Hare International Airport reported fog with 0.13 mile visibility, calm wind status, and air temperature 44°F at 8:51 p.m. Tuesday night. Prior to the crash, the most recent rainfall at O’Hare was at about 6:00 p.m., measuring 0.13 inch.
The foggy conditions began to improve about 11:00 p.m. with visibility improving to 0.50 mile by 10:51 p.m. Visibility was 10 miles by 11:51 p.m.
