Niles Police Department on Monday, October 10, 2022 received an anonymous tip that an individual that lived in the block of 8800 West Golf Rd. in Niles was involved in drug sales. Niles Police Department investigators, a Niles Police Department K-9 officer assigned to the Chicago DEA task force, and other members of the Chicago DEA task force investigated and corroborated the anonymous tip.
On Monday, October 11, 2022 around 1:20 p.m. Niles Police Department investigators and members of the Chicago DEA task force observed the suspect exit the front door of his residence while carrying a duffel bag. The suspect was detained by officers, and during a subsequent free air sniff of the bag button by the Nile Police Department PD K-9, the odor of narcotics was detected and a positive alert was indicated by the K-9.

Absolutely 1.6 pounds of suspected cannabis was recovered from the duffel bag, as well as a digital scale in numerous plastic sandwich bags. The suspect was then transported to the Niles police station.
At 4:35 PM Niles Police Department investigators obtain a search warrant of the suspects residence in the block of 8800 W. gulf world. When they executed a search warrant shortly there after, they recovered an additional 1.72 pounds of suspected cannabis, 0.45 caliber handgun, a 9 mm handgun, 163 rounds of ammunition, $7914 in cash, and other paraphernalia.
