Sprinter van topples attached garage in Buffalo Grove YouTube Tips ⓘ
Police, firefighters and paramedics from Buffalo Grove responded about 2:28 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2021 to a report of a crash into a garage with injuries in the block of 100 Mary Lu Lane in Buffalo Grove.
Police, firefighters and paramedics on arrival discovered a garage totally collapsed with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van in the backyard.
The driver was transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
Apparently the van was on the driveway, and went right through the attached garage into the backyard. The attached garage became separated from the house and completely collapsed on top of a small Honda passenger car.
No police spokesperson was available to explain what happened. There was no major investigation, and police and firefighters left the scene a short time after the patient was transported away from the scene.
The garage collapsed onto the sidewalk, and also hit some pole-to-pole data lines that run parallel to Lake Cook Road.
