The Russian invasion into Ukraine began February 24, 2022 after months of build-up of military troops and military hardware along the Russia border with Ukraine.
The Russian invasion followed previous conflict when Russia annexed Crimea, and Russian-backed separatists seized part of southeast Ukraine in the Donbas War, which is ongoing since late March/early April 2014.
