CHICAGO WINTER STORM …
Winter Storm Watch Late Wednesday Night to Early Thursday Evening
This Week’s Storm: Severe Weather, Snow, then Ice and Flooding with all things considered in the United States.
Trough coming down and up from California.
A little snow in Wyoming and some freezing rain breaking out in Iowa, but that’s just the beginning.
SEVERE STORMS
Severe storms, isolated tornadoes around north Texas, maybe Oklahoma, too, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, maybe Kentucky, too.
Moisture streaming north out of the Gulf of Mexico.
SNOW
Heavy snow possible in panhandle of Oklahoma.
Chicago is tricky forecast with rain, freezing rain, then snow — and there could be a lot of high winds with the snow in Illinois.
Toronto is in similar situation to Chicago — could be a lot of rain or a lot of snow.
RAIN
Northeast US will be mostly all rain, but 60 MPH winds possible, and even hurricane force winds near the Atlantic coast. Long Island could get some real high winds.
FREEZING RAIN
Freezing rain might be the worst in Missouri, but could be bad in Central Illinois — near Hannibal, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois. Areas south of Chicago could get some freezing rain, according to Ryan Hall.
Thundersleet possible in eastern Missouri and Western Illinois.
