A crane lift is scheduled for Monday, October 18, 2021 in downtown Arlington Heights beginning at 7:00 a.m. A portion of Wing Street just west of Vail Avenue will be closed for the crane lift at a building at Wing Street. The Wing Street closure just west of Vail Avenue is estimated to be a 3-hour closure starting at 7am.
New HVAC work will be underway Monday at the 44 North Vail Avenue building.
Also, beginning Monday, October 18, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., Dunton Avenue will be closed at the Metra and Union Pacific railroad crossing for repairs. This crossing is located directly east of the Metra train station, and will affect traffic flow in downtown Arlington Heights and traffic flow for Metra train commuter drop-offs.
The construction and closure is expected to last for 12 days, which would put completion on October 30, 2021 — just before Halloween 2021.
