Dunton Avenue will be closed at the Metra and Union Pacific railroad crossing beginning Monday, October 18, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. for railroad crossing repairs. This crossing is located directly east of the Metra train station, and will affect traffic flow in downtown Arlington Heights and traffic flow for Metra train commuter dropoffs.
The construction and closure is expected to last for 12 days, which would put completion on October 30, 2021 — just before Halloween 2021.
Also on Monday, October 18, 2021, a portion of Wing street at Vail Avenue will be closed for a crane lift at a building at Wing Street. The Wing Street closure just west of Vail Avenue is estimated to be a 3 -hour closure starting at 7am.
