Police from Inverness, and firefighters and paramedics from Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District responded about 7:21 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021 to a report of a house fire in the block of 1300 Carlisle Drive in Inverness. The fire was possibly detected in the basement. Northwest Central Dispatch also reported that activated smoke alarms were detected via alarm monitoring.
The first fire crew on arrival reported smoke showing from the front door, and firefighters were leading out with a line.
The fire call was upgraded to a Working Fire response by about 7:31 p.m.
Firefighters and paramedics from Barrington, Cary, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Lake Zurich, Long Grove, Rolling Meadows were also assigned to the scene.
The fire was declared out by 7:40 p.m. and initially no injuries were reported. There was mention of a pet that may have still been in the house, but no confirmation was reported over fire radio on the status of the pet.
