Illinois State Police and firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 7:14 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 to a report of a serious crash with injuries on I-90 WEST at Mile Marker 70. The crash was discovered near Mile Marker 69.
State police troopers, firefighters, and paramedics on arrival discovered one patient down on the ground with severe injuries. A flatbed semi-trailer truck was crashed into the median wall with another vehicle. Arlington Heights Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Debris ware reported on the roadway, and there was extensive damage to the two vehicles involved.
Illinois State Police troopers are investigating the crash.
